Still all pages render poorly at best, usually, unreadable. :(

Any weird plug-in left over ?

You mean Library/Internet Plug-Ins? I have PDF Browser Plugin.plugin.

ok

Here's the baffling thing. I have been traveling a lot for work. I use a
desktop at home and have my home directory on an external drive. I get
to it by symlinking /Users/mrespass to my home on the external. Then I
can shutdown, take the drive, plug it in at work, and keep going as if
nothing changed. I got home, don't remember what I did, but then Camino
stopped working. In fact, I've had a similar problem with Camino in the
past. I used to sync my PowerMac to my laptop and then sync back. I got
a desktop at work so I used my external drive. My home is in on the
external drive because I was syncing to it and the sync back to my
PowerMac failed one time and Camino was totally broken but when I used
my home on the external, everything worked fine so I stuck with it. Now
everything is still fine but I can't make Camino work for me. I really
want Camino back.

Do you see any messages in the console log ?

Interestingly, Console.app won't open :\. But I looked in /var/log/system.log and saw that I have more than one copy of Camino and that seems to have messed things up. I see messages like this

Apr 2 10:29:20 MarcG5 /Users/Shared/_Applications/_Essential/Camino.app/Contents/MacOS/ Camino: objc: Both /Users/Shared/_Applications/_Essential/Camino.app/Contents/ PreferencePanes/Privacy.prefPane/Contents/MacOS/Privacy and /Users/Shared/_Applications/_Essential/Camino.app/Contents/ PreferencePanes/Security.prefPane/Contents/MacOS/Security have implementations of class PreferencePaneBase.

I've deleted all but one copy of Camino, trashed my Camino folder, deleted that FullCircle folder (what's that anyway?). I need to at least log out. As said though, this is only happening in my account, not in other accounts so there is something in my own account that's causing the problem

Thanks a lot for the help
Marc
