The nice thing for users is that you each user gets to use it the way they want to... whether they treat it like a mailing list and receive/reply to everything via email, use it like forum software, or a hybrid. (ie, send me an email for everything in category X, but weekly digests for everything else.) I'd be happy to *help* administer it if this is the preferred route, but don't want to set myself up as a single-point of failure!
