I am looking for some advice on whether it is necessary, advisable
or even worthwhile to
have a mast up boat cover when drysailing an F-Boat under the Florida
sun. I have had an
F27 since the spring in Canada and will be bringing it down to
Florida for the winter
months ( December to April) where I will sail it occasionally.
My options are:
1- No cover at all. I'm worried about how the nets will be affected
2- A cover over the boom and down both sides between the cross beams
and covering
the floats. ( Half cover sunbrella $US 900)
3- A full cover sunbrella ( $US 1800)
4- A $30 blue plastic cover from the local hardware store with holes
cut to slip over the
upright crossbeams. This would probably cover only the middle portion.
I'm also thinking that a cover might deter theft?
Thanks in advance.
