suppliers of online/CD manuals very aggressively in the past few
months. Despite the legalities I found them invaluable when touring
overseas when you might be some hundreds of miles from a main dealer
and so I either carry a CD for use and printing at an internet cafe or
use an electronic copy on my PDA (Before Lotus legal come breathing
down my neck I own paper copies of every manual I have an electronic
copy of)

One "justification" for the high price of the paper manuals I've seen
is that the coated "oil proof" paper used by Lotus is *very*
expensive. Personally I think that USD450 = GBP245 doesn't seem too
bad for 5 volumes - especially in the context of the car being $40k
and an average service probably around $2-300 - I doubt Lotus make
much if any profit on the paper manuals.
