Date - 6 June 06
Day - Tuesday
Start - Claydon flight
End - Home moorings Napton

Just as I was about to set off this morning the Ownerships boat that
was moored behind us left, so I had visions of all the locks being
against us. When we arrived at the first lock there was a boat waiting
to come down and this continued all the way up the flight with us only
having to turn one lock and close one set of top gates. The summit must
have been almost 6" below its normal level so dead slow was called for
when meeting boats or we were on the mud and one or two of the boats we
met had a problem because they went to close to the offside bank. When
we arrived at the top of Marston Doles we were surprised not to find the
back pumps running. We dropped down through the Marston Doles pair to
find the pound below well up and chugged gently back to our moorings.

Total engine hours run since we left 130 covering 307 miles and 165
locks
