Hey, hold on a minute Bob................ I don't think I did
misinterpret
your post:, or I hope I didn't :-)
You were talking about mooring on the 4 counties 30 years ago.
The reason I asked if you had a GRP boat is because I was
boating then in a shallow drafted GRP boat. It was often difficult in
those days to get a shallow drafted boat against the towpath and we
frequently had to use landing planks - I find it much easier these
days
to get a similar boat into the side. If you had a nb 30 years ago and
disagree with my comment I am surprised as my experience is that
most canals are now deeper than they were 30 years ago.

I am surprised you have been upset by my comment about small
GRP cruisers - I have spent much of my boating life in such boats
and I certainly never got upset - even when people referred to
some of my previous boats as *Noddy Boats*.
