A little while ago on the T&M we passed a boat in the middle of nowhere.
It was getting towards dusk and the steerer on the other boat was
looking a bit agitated. He called out "How far to the next mooring?" I
should have said "About a yard!", but instead just looked blank and
thought "What is he talking about".
