Hi, on my original topic, how does BW obtain the information a regarding who are at what moorings for they charges ? is it left up to the mooring/marina owner to declare the amount/size of boats they have moored ? or is it a lump sum based upon the length of mooring space that they have, or is it based upon what you put on the licence application form ??
would be interested to know the answer, also how much the mooring/marina owner pays Brian ----- Original Message ----- From: Sue Burchett To: [email protected] Sent: Sunday, July 30, 2006 10:06 PM Subject: RE: [canals-list] Re: Normal Licence or Continus Crusing >I am not a continuous cruiser but if I was, having read the comments in >this thread which have consisted of some half remembered conversation of >30 years ago which doesn't appear to have ever been documented, an act >of parliament that failed to specify exactly how far a boat had to move >between mooring places and the almost total lack of any supervision >actually taking place, I feel that I could cruise and stop just about >anywhere I damn well chose and BW wouldn't have a leg to stand on if >they tried to enforce their 'rules' in court. > >BW seem better at FUD than even Microsoft. ;-) > > Bob >-- > Bob Adams - email: bob55 at ntlworld dot com The trouble is BW have no intention of going to court. If they think you are not obeying their rules they will refuse to issue a licence. End of story.
