As you probably found out the biggest problem for single-handers
on the Macc is the absence of the wooden landing platforms at the tail
of the locks at Bosley. I heard that BW were considering restoring
these
but nothing seems to have happened yet.
I am sorry I missed you on your return down the Macc. You seemed
to have plenty of crew when you came back through Congleton :-)
I was busy tiling a bathroom when you passed and you didn't hear
my shouts - but I could hear the HA2 - it sounded very healthy!
