A very short 7 hours after getting back from the 'Irons-O-GiG at the Admiral
Nelson ,Braunston, I was up again and heading towards Cropredy wharf to do a
self pumpout before too many other boats wanted access to the sani station.
By the time I had finished, Brenda had risen from her slumbers and so we tied
up before Cropredy lock for breakfast prior to setting off towards Fenny.
We were following a hireboat through every lock with the steam boat Emily Jane
following us. Having found her very slow to follow last weekend, she could
certainly keep up going through locks being operated by a keen crew who were
efficient at lock wheeling..
We managed to harvest a good load of blackberries from bushes on the offside by
stopping against the bushes and holding Jannock with the boat hook against any
convenient tree. Finally moored for the night out in the sticks, past the
Wormleighton tower, on the summit. A very peaceful spot with lots more
blackberries available.
Managed to fit Jannocks new ignition switch and the digibox into
techno-cupboard.
Short run to Napton Adkins tomorrow before a car shuffle and then home.
