Its possable that 6/8inches is a slight over exageration, and it 
maybe closer to 4/6inches.
 - However our boat is capable of exerting considerably more push 
than a more mainstream narrowboat due to its large propeller (26inch 
diameter).
 - Also although the engine is only rated at around the 20IHP area, 
steam engine are most powerfull from stationary and can produce a 
fairly scary amount of push for there size.
