I can answer that, because someone told me this week *(when I said the
Ashton and Lower Peak Forest were not cruising waterways).

The British Waterways Act of 1983 added the following list of waterways
to those classified as cruising waterways:
  - Ashton Canal, Ducie Street to Dukinfield Junction.**
  - Caldon Branch of the Trent and Mersey Canal (otherwise known as the
Caldon Canal), Etruria to Froghall.
  - Leek Branch of the Trent and Mersey Canal (otherwise known as the
Caldon Canal, Leek Branch), Hazelhurst to Wall Grange.
  - Erewash Canal, Langley Mill to Tamworth Road Bridge.
  - Grand Union Canal (Slough Branch), Cowley Peachey to Slough Basin
  - Lower Peak Forest Canal, Dukinfield Junction to Marple top lock
  - Monmouthshire and Brecon Canal, Jockey Bridge, Pontypool, to 400
yards west of Gas Works Bridge, Brecon.

  * Thanks to Richard Booth for supplying this information.
** so not Dukinfield Junction to Whitelands Basin.
