We have gone to great lengths to make the SOW campaign
about Our Waterways and about 'waterways enthusiasts'
not just boaters. If you can see any examples of where
the campaign document veers away from that concept please
let us know.
Having said that, I can see that much of our future
campaigning is going to be canal-centric simply because
there is greater public access and of course it is the
canals that are likely to show the effects of any decline
more quickly. For example, canals are far more prone to
leakage and the very fact that they are shallow, man-made,
structures means they are likely to need more dredging
and preventative maintenance.
