When we ate there in the summer, I seem to remember that they had run out of
a couple of things but what we did have was very nice indeed. I suppose you
could take it as a good sign that the food is prepared fresh and so they
don't just have an endless supply of dishes to warm up?

Presumably the parties from boats they turned away hadn't booked? I get the
impression that it's so busy that you can't generally just turn up. We
moored outside mid-afternoon and were quite lucky to still be able to get a
booking.

Not exactly cheap though!

We had a family meal there yesterday evening and were distinctly
underwhelmed - they'd run out of quite a lot of things on the menu by
7.30, they turned away a couple of parties off boats, some of the food
was undercooked, and service was slow because the staff were chatting to
a raucous party off one of the Royal Navy narrowboats. Maybe they were
just having an off day, but we won't be going back to find out!
