Having single handed this flight for the first time last year I can honestly say it was the most difficult I've done on my own; give me Heartbreak Hill any day! No bollards to tie the boat while you set the lock and no way off the boat if you sit it on the bottom gate whilst setting the lock. Very frustrating to have to knock in a spike 12 times. Also those double top gates are a pain when you have to walk all the way around. Beautiful waterway though. I'll be back next year. Steve NB Bream
