We have just received a bundle of info from EA about getting to the
National. The Hundred Foot River (aka New Bedford River) is the
recommended route from Salter's Lode to St Ives for those arriving
before the stoppage at Ely is lifted. We will be going that way on
Fulbourne at the beginning of August (river conditions permitting).

However, as a boat longer than 62ft we have booked a passage through
Salter's Lode lock when the tide makes a level. Since this is after all
the lock-through slots for shorter craft, I assume it means we are going
through after high tide, and will therefore either have to punch the
tide up the Hundred Foot River, or wait for the next rising tide. Does
anyone know if this is the case?
