On that score, I quite see the need to time the passage up the Hundred 
Foot tide wise, but according to the info sheet posted on both EA and 
IWA sites, the minimum headroom at the lowest bridge is 2.4 metres at 
High Water Springs. Since the clearance under some of the bridges 
around Upwell is 2.1 metres, it doesn't sound as though a narrowboat 
that's made it through the Middle Level is going to have air draught 
problems on the Hundred Foot, unless there's so much fresh coming down 
the levels are well up above the average.

OK, the Gt Ouse is closed with an SSA atm, but hopefully, (please?) 
that will have disbursed by the beginning of August. Mind you, there's 
a forecast of another one to two inches of rain for the weekend, so all 
bets for the Nene may be off again.

Next year, please can we have the National somewhere dead easy to get 
to, just, like, you know, for a change maybe?
