I was extremely sorry to hear that Eugene is leaving BW but I don't blame him!. I have always found him to be honest and straight , even if he had to tell me something which I didn't want to hear .He put in a fantastic amount of work and seemed to work extremely long hours - posting on various forums at all hours and being very helpful when folk couldn't get a response through the "normal" BW channels. I may be wrong, but I think he was "stitched up" on more than one occasion by his BW colleagues and he was left to carry the can for others shortcomings. I found all his postings on here and on several other canal forum very helpful and honest, even when other posters had been less than kind to him.
He will be a very hard act to follow and I am sure that the boaters lot will be less happy as a result of his departure. Eugene, if you are reading this, many thanks for all your help over the years and all the very best in the future. Ann
