I switched to Michael Stimpson (who later transferred his practice to Mardon, but continues to be the broker who runs it) about a decade ago. I check every time I renew, but I've always found his prices to be the best. I've had only one claim, which was settled efficiently (although I wouldn't have paid the other party if I'd had the choice!). Also, Michael does indeed know what he is talking about. I do occasionally move my barge single-handed, but I have never been charged extra for this. Also, I have navigated it at length in mainland Europe with only a reasonable surcharge for the Channel crossings. There have been some administrative glitches due to Mardon's having had problems with its IT, but I think/hope these are now over. Adrian Adrian Stott 07956-299966
