I have to say I don't agree with you what they did in that spot was totally 
irresponsible.  That stretch of canal is anything but quiet under normal 
circumstances, also the turn that the boat took under London Road is a totally 
blind bend.  If they had hit another boat at the speed that they were doing the 
guy on the front, with the beer can, could have very well been killed.

To be honest, im with Paul.

Obviously in terms of whats allowed or expected, its bad out of order, 
and if it became common place i would be there with everyone defending 
the canals as a place not suitable for such speed.

However, as a one off, on a quieter bit of canal, slowing down for 
passing boats etc, with hard banks all round. You could do a dam sight 
worse in my mind

And as you say, theres nothing in the clip to positively identify the 
boat or the people really, something they probably knew at the time.
