Harnser's present position

Well from Tuesday being the cheapest meal of the holiday last night was
the most expensive. We ate the the restaurant of the Pike and Eel, we
were the only people in there although there were a few eating in the
bar/conservatory from the extensive bar menu we decided to celebrate our
wedding anniversary a couple of days early.
We set off this morning at 0940am in fine weather but just after we set
off it started to rain which continued on and off most of the day. We
moored in St Ives on the EA moorings. St Ives lock is a bit unusual as
it's been widened to take boats side by side once they are through the
gate. We did a bit of shopping and had lunch before setting off again
upstream. The site of last years IWA Festival looks most different with
nothing but grass and weeds on it. At the next lock we caught up with a
cruiser just entering the lock, they pulled into the side extension and
allowed us in beside them in the straight section between top and bottom
gates. We shared with them until they went into their moorings at
Brampton Marina. A we passed Huntington Marina we could just see
President moored on the far side. We continued on upstream through
Offord Lock and continued for about 2 miles and moored at 1800 at the
GOBA moorings at Paxton Pits.
