We are going this way in about three weeks. We are not going to be able to get out for as long as first planned so will basically have about a week on the Ouse side of the Denver sluice (and would need to get back there at the end of the week). I'd be interested in advice on how best to use that week, for the best sites, most interesting boating and diverse landscape (though I know its the Fens!) It may be too early for you to say, but others may have a view. And while we are experienced boaters, I know the crew will want to do some exploring on the bank (Ely is inevitable!) rather than try to cover as much ground as possible (which would probably be my sad inclination). I have heard it said that they are on holiday not an endurance attempt. Any other tips welcome as we have never got further than the Middle Level in the past. -- Nigel Stanley
