To be pedantic - a large proportion of the surviving (ex) working nbs are from the Grand Union Canal Carrying Co, whose craft were originally 7ft 0.5in wide. PS perhaps we need a new name for boats between 6ft 10in and 7ft 0.5in wide. How about 'thin boats'? That's nice and easy to understand... -- Martin Ludgate
