Let me add another comment on the width debate to this.... <The only fair licencing system would be based on area of the boat. This would be for access to ALL the BW system. There should then be a "minus" contribution allowing for the part of the BW network that a boat of various lengths, widths and air draughts could not access> This would speed up the removal of pinch points! The length debate concerning narrowboats is valid from the point of view of pressure on mooring length available at honeypot sites. As BW packs in the "users" to boost their failing funds this will become more prevalent. Also because I recon that smaller narrowboats will become more popular again and sharing in narrow locks will be an option. And on the Continuous Cruiser debate... <If the "Continuous Cruiser" can prove (or opts to prove) that he is doing just that and NOT "Bridge Hopping" or "Continuously Mooring", then they should NOT pay any supliment and that in this scenario the supliment should be far greater than £150.> -- Neil Arlidge - NB Earnest - just shot myself in the foot, if Erne-Nest ever returns...which it will eventually...
