I bought a stainless steel double skinned chimney at Wharf House Chandlery, Braunston bottom Lock, a year or so back. Price was reasonable, I thought - as an extra on the standard mild steel. Can't remember how much. Also bought an SS chinaman's hat and some spray on hammerite which has weathered quite well. The inside of the garage looks quite decent too, with all the black overspray. > While I am at it, a drive belt went on the domestic alternator the other > day, fortunately I had a spare. I now need to replace the spare. The local > Halfords was less than helpful so I thought I would try the WWW, without > much success. The following is written on the old belt:- optibelt - VB > s=cplus A 1350 Ld / 13 X 1320 Li A 52 Ref the drive belt - as DM says these letters mean something to "proper" suppliers. I got a spare set of belts in the velvet lined mahogany case that was provided by SMH at the handover ceremony. Also, of course, half a dozen magnetic rivets for emergency use. Beeky SBC
