About 10 years ago we had a very wet few days on the Soar that put my (non
swimming) wife off boating for life!

I can't tell you how long things are likely to remain in flood Bruce but I
can say that it is very prone to go up and down quickly around about that
area. Sadly I have just looked at the forecast and it is due to be mildly
wet tomorrow and very wet Weds and Thurs. I would have thought you might
have a window of opportunity tomorrow, but after that batten down the
hatches for a couple of days. It will all depend on exactly where it falls -
and right up here in Stone the River is still rather high and muddy looking

Best of luck
