Unfortunately the Soar is well known for going up and down quickly but the
Trent less so. What you see at Trent lock is the rain that fell on Stoke 2/3
days ago so the peak comes later than the Soar.
Unfortunately again normally I am on the road in that area every day but at the
moment am on a fortnights holiday (well off work anyway - I'll never spend
another holiday at home!) so am not able to report further.
It could be interesting to ring BW Fradley, they might be slightly more up to
date than Newark as they are a bit more up river. Other than that I wonder if
any of the marinas might help - Barton turns, Mercia or MCC at Stenson. Of
course the Waterways World offices are pretty close to the river in Burton.
