I find myself agreeing with Steve's comments. The Blackberry email app does only allow you to top post and prevents editing of the text below the reply. There's probably a good "corporate" reason for doing so, but as a corporate user, I've yet to discover it.
Seeing as I'm pretty much attached to both my Blackberries, I just issue the apoplogy and move on. Sad, innit?! There is a seperate gmail client for BB which may be better behaved, but I've not tried it for a while. It will only really be of use on an unlimited tarrif though and definitely not when roaming as I am now.
