I am in full agreement with this. Bottom-posting is my preference, along with heavy snipping, as in the example of this very reply. It should never be necessary to have to scroll down to see the start of a reply - it should be visible even on a split-window panel (or whatever you call it when the reply appears in half of the screen). I almost always bottom-post (with snipping), or sometimes interleave my comments in between parts of the message I am replying to, even when writing emails. This has led to amusing situations when I reply to people who only know the corporate top-posting method who can't work out where my reply is as they only think to look at the very top!
