Phew, thanks Ron, I'll print it out and spend some time reading and re-reading
that ;-))
I already use a disposable e-mail address with Yahoo for open news groups (ie
uk.rec) but have used my main e-mail address here for ages with no problem
together with sites that require a valid and on-going address. The Yahoo
address started receiving spam very shortly after I used it exclusively on
uk.rec so it was obviously a wise choice. Funnily enough though it has never
built up to a huge number of spams there, maybe about 1 or 2 per day. My main
address has suddenly changed from nigh on zero to loads all of a sudden and I
can't understand why as there has been no change of usage pattern by me, nor
have I exposed it to any dodgy sites. I do get the odd bit of French spam and
that seems to have started since I licenced my French boat on-line with the
VNF....nice of them :-(
Most odd. I've contacted Tiscali but knowing the efficiency of their help line
I'm not holding my breath.
