Elpidio Latorilla,

EL> The point was "not all like to see it discarded" and not about documents.

I didn't got the intranet mailer installed, because i miss a HowTo. Ok
for my intranet at home it makes not fun to mail to me. and answer. So
i put not much time to it to set it up for a demilitarized zone DMZ. This is highly
interesting feature for hospital email a hospital email internal
security.
Some how to set it up with sendmail you can read here:
http://www.sans.org/rr/papers/19/968.pdf

I prefere Scenario 3 for hospital use.

EL> The point was "Jabber chat" not Jabber email. And your demo was only the chat
EL> and not the email so you were actually proposing the chat.

Its the same. If you send a email to a jabber adress the client get
it. Jabber means only to use all in xml. The rest is
configuration.

>> EL> c) Jabber needs an extra server while the intranet module does not.
>> Wrong: The intranet module requires a Email server configured. For
>> hospital use you need a special Email configuration. I don't thing it

EL> I was referring to the intranet emailer which is
EL> not using standard protocol but instead uses the care2x database which makes
EL> an extra email server unnecessary.

No realy missunderstandings. I referring only to the intranet mailer.
This is the highest interesting feature to provide realy secure mail
inside the intranet. but it needs POP, IMAP and SMTP.
But to be secure for use only inside the intranet it needs a DMZ scenario.
Look to the DMZ concepts and you are happy if care2x can provide such
a structure.

>> I think u are very good in programming. But network administration
>> your experience is limited. Here the developer team have very good
>> people.

EL> You were already demonstrating long before that you do not like me

Shock. I think the absolute opposite is the case. We have some
dispute because of the care2x cd but this is nothing personal.

EL> , so it is
EL> just understandable that you begin unsulting me publicly. I just hope that
EL> you do not begin insulting other members too.
If you feeling insult by me, so it was not my whish and i ask you to
excuse seriosly.
My statement above means only that i like to give a compliment to
developers that have very good Linux or network administration skills.
Much better than me. And as the same sentence i tried to praise your
programming skills. I thought only about the to share the knowledge
how the intranet mail module can be used in a scenario, so that
everyone is able to read why its so useful. A DMZ is a possible solution for
this module what brings a high security to care2x at all.

Please apologize my babylon english.

EL> Wilfried, if you really like that people buy your ideas, sell it to them in a
EL> pleasant way. Do not bully around.

I wouldn't like to sell. I see phantastic possibilities to use.

EL> I never said that your jabber client will not be accepted. I just suggested
EL> that you manage it from your plug-ins website.

EL> My last email was actually a suggestion how you can do it pleasantly. I just
EL> did not lay out the details how because I was giving you the chance to use
EL> your own talents. But it seems that I really have to layout some details for
EL> you to follow (if you like).

EL> 1) Install an online demo of care2x
Is one step for the future i do. Shure.

EL> 2) Add the jabber client in its menu or submenus

I hope the whole time since, that something comes to the
administration area like this:

You like to include an external application to the care2x frame?

| | Search application to add.

EL> 3) Activate it to link to your own installed jabber server

Which file to change?

EL> 4) Make documents about it and how to use.
EL> 5) Publish it in your care2x.de website
EL> 6) Make an honest and objective advertising on mailing lists
EL> 7) Pack the demo care2x with your jabber client as zip or tar.gz

It is only available from CVS.
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/jwchat/

Things will be more easy with debian -
apt-get install

EL> 8) Make it available for download from your website or your sf.net plug-ins
EL> website.

I don't touch projects of others with the plugins. They are developed
independent. Have their own resources.
Only in the case, that they need support or don't like to set up own
CVS or other things i try to help them. But to do it allone it is
impossible because of time consumtion.

EL> Now, if you do not like my suggestions, do it your way but please do not bully
EL> or insult people around.

I like your suggestions and like to follow them. If i did bully
someone (new word for me in english) or insulting someone than maybe
this can be because of language like it happened here. I received no
mail, that i did bully someone in a special situation.
