I think those that are preparing a Care2x Live CD demonstration would like to see this Knoppix-based distro: http://lamppix.tinowagner.com/
Good to know that Lopo continues to keep an eye on the potential interesting things.
Regarding Lamppix, I must say that I've seen it and played with it in June 2004, as I reported at the time to some of you who were then interested to co-develop a LiveCare2x CD.
But the problem does not seem to be related to the supporting Linux live CD engine. The problem seems to be more related to the way which Care2x deals with its more than 120 tables and dynamical data. It is quite different from, for instance, OpenOIO.
Even with the current PostgreSQL Care2x incarnation it did not get easier. So, we will have to wait. Perhaps with a little help from the people from the OIO project?
Regarding Lamppix one should add that it is based on the reliable XAMPP package (http://apachefriends.org/).
XAMPP is a ready-made-fully-working LAMP (Linux/Windows, Apache, PHP, MySQL) that besides Linux also works rather well Windows.
Most of the time it just does a very good job of giving you a reliable LAMP isolating you from the supporting operating system.
