Hi Dr. Hinostroza, thanks for the suggestions. Of course, any kind of automation will help. Let us see these software that you suggested. And most importantly, let us see how the "productive" part of the group will react to that.
An automated system will come eventually, Dart or cmake or whatever. But let us also accept the fact that such things do not come within 24 hours. Not to ignore also the "human factor" as we can see from the "wiki documentation" experience. This wiki thing clearly showed us that not every new technological innovation will be embraced enthusiastically by the group. To see the proof, please visit the wiki docs at http://ciclone.mfh.it/care2002/documentation/ and see how many (or how little) from the group had added to the docs. A new tech innovation might be "better" when viewed from a techical vantage point. But when we add the human factor and mass psychology to the equation, the results are often different. Another thing, back in 2003, Lopo installed a groupware for a well intended automated coordination of the project. Nobody used it except me and Lopo, until it was forgotten and finally discarded. The only surviving systems from Lopos work are the forum, faq, and bugtracker but they are also rarely used. Surely, the dart or cmake system might be used better by the group compared to wiki docs or groupware. So we have to test such systems. For this purpose, we all need to be patient. I hope this settles the matter for now. Respectfully, Elpidio On Friday 12 November 2004 19:56, Dr. med.
