Subject: [Care2002-developers] Running care2x in live enviroment

Hello,

My Name is Malden Novosel, and currently employeed at Clinical Hospital
Center Zagreb.
Location of Hospital is in Zagreb, Croatia.

Almost done with translation, a day or two...

I need some advices and help how to run it better.

First of all let me describe the scale of implementation. Care2x is to be
implemented in
Internal Clinic for live patient admission and care, for starters.
After the test and evaluation period it should be implemented throughout the
whole
Hospital. Hospital Center is spreaded over the five remote locations
(campuses), with
over the 30 buildings. Clinical Hospital Center Zagreb has around 4700
employees, who
will at the end use care2x for their IS.

I though of setting up five servers dual Xeon with 4GB RAM, local network
infastructure has
2GBps backbone, but link with other location vary from 1GBps (which is not a
problem) down
to 256kbps. Each are connected through two Cisco PIX firewalls, with
rewritten addresses, and
connected through a VPN tunnel using 3DES and ...
Each of servers should be running care2x, apache, mysql with replication to
each other. Base
OS is Linux, Debian distro. I chose Debian over others for a flexibility and
configurability. Mysql,
apache and Care2x are used from their source and compiled except the latter.

Has anyone experience with this scale of integration, some usefull tips, is
mz HW strong enough
to handle atleast a 800 concurrent connection?

I need some tips on how to change documents templates, charset, and images.
Every time PDF
prints out it prints out in a iso8859-1 charset, but the charset should be
iso8859-2.

And Also have one question, Can I use different images for a logos of
different departements?

Thank you!
