Hi Mladen, forget about doing all the work your self.... for 4k employies hosptial it is not possible. Even if you choose one pilot department (plus a lab and radiology and admission) you will have a lot of work just planing the implementation.
Fail-safe and high availability is the tricky one, and it is very expensive, plus you have to build it for the database specifications. Database, hmmmmmm................... I have narrowed down to two options, one is MySQL and the other one is Cach�. And I have chosen these because of clustering and failsafe possibilities. Bosnian version of care2x is based on care2x v2.1 If you have skype we can talk more. one big suggestion. first open up a workshop or care2x lab with 10 pc's where your doctors and nurses can test care2x (play with it) and have them examine fake patients etc. Then you will see what you need to fix. I am also sure you have a procedural department (the ones that give you guidelines regarding the paperwork), try to make them happy. Do you have a budget at all, how much, do you have a project charter in your hands, do you have a project team?????
