Roland,

If your partial hemisphere does not include the anterior commissure, it will probably be important to DE-select the Disconnect Hindbrain, Disconnect Eye and Skull, Cut Corpus Callosum, and Fill Ventricles options, as these rely on stereotaxic coordinates relative to the AC.

We don't have a lot of experience with segmentation of partial hemispheres using Caret 5.x, so let us know if you encounter problems.

Hi Roland,

In Caret5, you proceed with segmentation of a partial hemisphere just as if you had a full hemisphere (Volume Menu:SureFit Operations (Segmentation). At the very last step, when you generate surfaces, a dialog will query you for partial hemisphere padding. We no longer save the padded volume.

Hi,

I just wanted to segment a partial (occipital) hemisphere which used to be a lot easier than segmenting an full hemisphere and is enough for my purposes.

Unfortunately the tutorial doesn't mention how to do this with caret and I didn't find any options to tell the surefit in caret to assume partial hem. and pad the anterior. The Volume->Segmentation->Pad Volume didn't have a
visible effect.

Is this option still hidden somewhere?

Regards,

Roland
