Since no one else has spoken up, I believe the idea of regular
conference calls on a mandatory basis is dead. I have endeavored to
compromise between Jérôme's desire for mandatory regular conference
calls and the logistical obstacles of meeting synchronously. I added a
note that periodic synchronous meetings are encouraged (but not mandatory):
