You'll find with Tomcat that things that worked on one version don't often work on another.
I was doing some testing with Tomcat, CAS, and Restlet and it wasn't working at all for me. Like I spent 2 days debugging. I had my coworker look at it who has more experience with Restlet than I did at the time. He got it to work for him and then when we brought it back to my machine it didn't work. Turns out he was using Tomcat 5.5.17 and I was using Tomcat 5.5.20 which had a bug in it and I fixed it by upgrading to 5.5.26.
