Dear all,

For future reference: Anyone using a metal notebook to connect to
serial you might encounter issues with a floating ground. Make sure
you disconnect your laptop from the power supply to avoid an
additional ground.

At least now I can see the count down timer and transmit data
(indicated by an LED tied to the transmit line). The roach is still
ignoring my key presses after the "Hit any key" message. I have tried
"CR +LR", "CR" and "LR" enter key emulation modes, but it didn't show
any difference. Is there a custom carriage return which must be sent
for this to work? Thanks.

Kind regards,
Norbert
