Hi all,

Recently, I came across an email by Jack Hickish on this list which dated back to early 2020, on which he stated that the Fixed-Point Designer was a basic minimum for compilations, given that it provided the UFix and Fix data types in Simulink (link here: https://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg07887.html). This statement confused me a bit, because we were able to compile Tutorial 1 by only using a basic MATLAB + Simulink license, with no toolboxes included. As we were targeting a ROACH2 board, we did this compilation on MATLAB R2013b.

I wonder if the requirement of the aforementioned Toolbox is related to more recent versions of MATLAB, such as R2018a for SKARAB, or were we just able to compile the design by a fortunate turn of events?

Thanks in advance,

Matheus F. Alpoin
