Basically, the .NET 2.0 branch is there for anyone that still needs to use .NET 2.0, since everyone is moving on with .net 3.5 in the trunk, however I'm sure committers are still willing to apply patches to it. The branch will just turn into whatever it needs to be to provide Castle to those users.
At this stage I'm planning on releasing the .net 2.0 Castle.Core and DP2 from the trunk. I'd really prefer not doing it from the net-2.0 branch because both the 2.0 and 3.5 releases should be as close as possible from a public API view. It also means bug fixes only have to go into the trunk.
