In thinking about the Autohelm 4000 that I have.  I suspect that part of whatever difficulty I'm having may have to do with the placement of the fluxgate compass.  I think it may be too far forward and is better placed in the port cockpit locker.  Would there be more immediate and accurate response (less over-control)?
