I just refinished my hand rails and am ready
to put them back on boat. They sure look nice. Someone previously told me
to use buytle tape to seal the rail when I put them back on. My question now
is: do I put the tape on the rail bottoms and how thick? I had
to buy enough tape to do a thousand boats. The tape is about 3/16 thick
but very pliable so I could spread it thin. My take on this is that
I should put it on thin because when I tighten the rails, the butyle will seep
out and form its own thickness.
Any suggestion from you experts?
