It should last for very long time. With such little use, there is little wear. If you  have adjusted it properly to begin with, the water lubrication should keep it from damage. Time to replace is when you can no longer control the drips by tightening the packing nut. In my case with the PTFE packing, I've gone for 6 years now and haven't had a problem. I do check it once a year.
