Whatever fluid you select, remember the reason for the party is to enjoy the boat's new name. The date I had selected turned out to be a dreary, rainy day. But with the addition of an awning (on land) we were successful and all hands had a good time. The food was good as well. All the attendees have since enjoyed rides on the boat. BTW the champagne I broke over the bow was purchased from a marine store and was a breakaway bottle meant for just such an occasion. The alcohol we offered to Neptune and to toast him was a fine single malt scotch!
