Have you guys looked at the Volume III labs yet? They meet everything you guys are talking about. The solutions are given without a lot of comment for those that want just the facts. Then there is the solution explanation/clarification. This can sometimes be a brief explanation or may be a detailed explanation of the technology.

Doing a lab is about strategy and planning as well as knowledge and skills.. Keeping the solution guide sparse doesn't really help to improve the quality of the exam simulation for this is something entirely up to the candidate to adhere or not to adhere to.. On the other hand I see solutions guide and proctor guide as two different entities.. The proctor guide should be sparse.. The solutions guide could be like internetworkexpert does... At the end of the day if someone wants to cheat on a question he/she will do this even if your solutions guide is sparse.. but on the other hand if someone who didn't cheat wants to attest after the test if he/she has taken the right strategy, planning and interpretation.. well than a sparse solution guide wouldn't help much.
