This is exactly what I mean. And it would result in applying say authentication login none to the console as failing to do so and using aaa default methods would affect your console access.

I would follow the guide lines from the yousuf Labs for the aaa configuration. Console or aux access should not be touched unless mentioned in the exam.

they may explicitly say "make sure your console if not affected by
your AAA config". so leaving authen login none for consoles would
be fine on those routers where you have to configure AAA.

And what about that AAA Auth NONE for line con0 which is
configured in almost every workbook config (if there is some aaa

    Thanks for thoughts!

I would not worry about logging and monitoring commands, I
left ip inspect log drop in there myself. As for ip mtu etc,
those are changing things. General rule is if not asked for,
don't configure it. I understand they are in DMVPN tunnel
examples on DocCD, put them in there if your solutin does not
work without them or if there are explicit requirements for it.

        Hi guys,
one question about lets say (unwanted?) fine tuning of the
final configurations in the real lab.
Will I loose my points if I left there in configs commands
not required in the task like "ip inspect log drop-pk", ACE
"250 deny ip any any log" or aliases? Or if I configure as a
best practice e.g. "ip mtu" and "ip tcp adjust-mss" on
DMVPN/Tunnel interface but the task don't need it explicitly?

And small another one:) may I use earplugs in the lab?

        Thanks a lot!
