Hi Folks: To whatever extent I've created this problem, please accept my apologies. I've got very slow and sporadic internet access for the next few days, but will try to sort things out on my return. The Apple X11 thing is due (usually) to the dynamically allocated IP address changing. There is some checkbox in the preferences to turn off this irritating behavior, but I don't have it in front of me to check.
