Dear all
I have been struggling for quite sometime in trying to get coot running on
my mac.
The situation is the following:
I have the xcode tools installed, I have version 10.4.8, I used the "fink
install coot" command, the thing seems to work up to a certain point. But
when I try to launch coot I get this error message:
[stefanos-computer:~] stefano% coot
current_exe_dir is
/usr/local/Darwin-chihiro.chem.york.ac.uk-pre-release/bin
COOT_PREFIX is /usr/local/Darwin-chihiro.chem.york.ac.uk-pre-release
That isn't fink's coot.
If you have fink's coot, please try the following:
source /sw/bin/init.sh (or if you use tcsh, try: source
/sw/bin/init.csh)
Then issue /sw/bin/coot
and see what happens.
dyld: Library not loaded: /sw/lib/libfreeglut.3.dylib

Reason: no suitable image found. Did find:

It looks from this that you are trying to use a freeglut library compiled
for ppc on intel, or vice versa.
