Coot 1.x has worked very well for me now. Here are what troubled me initially
(not complaint, only for feedback):
(1) I was using Phenix connected to Coot a lot. The 0.9 Coot can work
seamlessly with Phenix refine and its validation. It's convenient to click on
the phenix validation entries and coot auto-move to those areas. I have not
figure out how to do it for coot 1.x yet.
(2) the mouse operation is different (left key>>right key to rotate and right
key>>shift+right key to zoom). Adapt to the Coot 1.x need some time when you
having existing muscle memory. It would still be good if coot 1.x could offer
a “legacy mouse operation” option for transiting users.
Cheers,
Charlie
